Generative AI in K-12 Education: The CyberScholar Initiative
This paper evaluates CyberScholar, a GenAI writing assistant that provides formative feedback aligned with teacher rubrics to K-12 students (grades 7-11) across multiple subject areas. The study examines student and teacher perceptions through surveys and interviews in four U.S. schools, focusing on how AI feedback supports writing improvement, metacognition, and self-regulation.
