From Pilots to Practices: A Scoping Review of GenAI-Enabled Personalization in Computer Science Education
This scoping review synthesizes 32 studies examining how generative AI enables personalized computer science education in higher education contexts, analyzing design patterns for intelligent tutoring, feedback, assessment, and code review. The review focuses on university-level CS courses and identifies pedagogical design choices that promote productive struggle versus cognitive offloading.
