This systematic literature review examines 40 studies (2011-2022) that used social experiment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of Intelligent Tutoring Systems in real K-12 educational contexts, analyzing their impact on learning performance, non-cognitive factors, and methodological rigor.
Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITSs) have a great potential to effectively transform teaching and learning.
