COGENT: A Curriculum-oriented Framework for Generating Grade-appropriate Educational Content
COGENT is a framework for generating curriculum-aligned, grade-appropriate science reading materials using LLMs, incorporating NGSS standards, readability controls, and wonder-based learning approaches. The paper evaluates generated content across curriculum alignment, comprehensibility, and readability metrics using both LLM-as-judge and human expert analysis.
